Hi all,
Just writing to direct your attention to this sweet free pattern from one of the coolest ladies around, Denyse Schmidt! As if she wasn't already awesome enough, now she's got free patterns. I just about fell out of my chair when I saw this adorable patchwork scottie dog!
Look at that jaunty scarf! Plus, a button eye! He's just so charming, and it looks really easy to do! You just need lots of small squares so it's a great way to use up scraps. Or why not use your favorite new fabrics? That scottie is worth it! Download the pattern!
Speaking of Denyse and free patterns, she also has a free pattern for a tote bag. Now, who can't use a tote bag? You can use them for pretty much everything from groceries to library books to lunch. (Mmmm... lunch...)
Look how pretty these look in Denyse's County Fair decorator fabric! County Fair is a really great cheater cloth - that groovy patchwork-look is printed directly onto the fabric so you don't have to do any piecing to get Denyse's style! This great vintage-look fabric will brighten up your spring and the slightly heavier weight of the decorator fabric will keep everything in the bag.
Oh, what have we here? It looks like County Fair is available from Quilt Sandwich! Why not download the free Market Tote pattern, compliments of Denyse, and then get some County Fair fabric from Quilt Sandwich! A pretty tote bag would make a great gift! Or you could just keep it for yourself. We won't tell.
(PIctures from www.dsquilts.com. Thanks, Denyse!)

I love Densye Schmidt! I just ordered the Promenade Panel form your shop. I'm glad I found your shop and your blog! I will check back often.
