We got 3 HUGE boxes of Michael Miller fabric today and it was like we had hit the jackpot! Seriously, everything was amazing and we just had to keep congratulating ourselves on our amazing taste. We had a lot of shipments to get out, so we didn't get too many new things posted, but I did want to put up SOMETHING. So, without further ado, here are Wing Song and Backyard Baby!
We LOVE these gorgeous, lush fabrics! As soon as I saw Wing Song, the main bird print, I KNEW we had to get it. I love birds, I love aqua blue and bright pink and I love the sketchy style of it. It's so pretty! Next up, this awesome free-form houndstooth print in aqua and orange. You just know that someone like Jonathan Adler would love this chic print. It has the classic houndstooth styling with a groovy color scheme. On the lower right is a print called Coral Bells, which is pretty striking too! The teal and chartreuse color combo and unusual pod-type flowers create a very funky fabric. Finally, here's a great tonal fabric in a lovely shade of aqua called Painter's Canvas. Great as an accent fabric for a wild print, or as a more-fun substitute for a solid fabric.
Now, here's Backyard Baby!
How cute are these bug-ey prints?! Designed by Patty Sloniger, who won a contest sponsored by Michael Miller and Spoonflower, this is just a fun baby collection. It's cute but not TOO cute, you know what I mean? Personally, I just can't go for those over-the-top sappy baby fabrics, so this is right on, in my opinion. (Of course, if you REALLY hate bugs or snakes, maybe not all of the fabrics are for you.)
Anyway, there's Backyard Party, featuring a nice all-over collection of bugs in pretty greens and blues on white. And what's not to like about the Ant Maze? Pretty aqua (again!) with a cute white maze and little busy ants in gray and orange. I've already made my feelings on birds known, and needless to say, I love birch trees too, so the Birch Forest print was another must-have! I love these Bug Jars too, on their cool gray stone background. At the bottom left we have Samaras, which is what those little propellor-things are actually called. I love how Patty arranged them in this cute diamond-grid pattern, and all of the fun colors in it. Finally, the Painter's Canvas from above works just great in this collection! All of these prints would make the cutest baby quilt!
So, stay tuned for more greatness from Michael Miller! We have some really fun barbecue-related fabrics (seriously, they're awesome!), a mod scooter print, some bright florals, and the CUTEST whale fabric! I LOVE the whales.
Be back soon!
Becca
