Hello! I don't think I need to tell you that Anna Maria Horner's new collection is amazing, but I will, just in case: it is AMAZING! She's calling it Loulouthi, which is Greek for "flower" and it does indeed feature many beautiful floral prints. But in true Anna Maria style, she has designed oodles of gorgeous and unusual coordinates too!
First, let's take a look at this large-scale floral called Summer Totem. FAB!
How pretty are those gorgeous flowers?! The colors are all so cute - shades of aqua, pink, yellow and brown are always in good taste. This print is very large-scale, so it would be great for bigger items like pillows or a bag or skirt.
Here are a few coordinates that look especially nice with Summer Totem!
These pretty prints in chartreuse and aqua are perfect for summer. The upper left fabric is Curated Bloom in Fun Blue (yep, that's the actual color name). It is such a cute print! The flower colors are all really pretty. The lower right fabric is Coreopsis, and is also a cool fabric. It has unusual flowers in aqua on the citrus-ey background. The other two corners are part of a larger-scale print in citron and white called Framed. This one is really cool - it has a diamond grid with all different kinds of patterns. This groovy fabric would be great for pillowcases or a tablecloth. (Why not add another Loulouthi fabric as a border?)
We have another beautiful larger floral print called Clippings, in the colorway "Passion"! Ooh la la! This one is super gorgeous too.
Wowzers! (I don't know where that word came from.) But for real, isn't that awesome?! It's even prettier in person. The background is a lovely charcoal gray so the flowers just pop. I love the giant roses contrasted with the smaller lavender and yellow flowers. This one would also be great for pillows (in fact, I'm thinking of making some for my own red couches!), or how about a stylin' bag or even a cute jacket?
And not to worry, we have some coordinates that are perfect for this fabric too.
Feelin' groovy! I love the colors in these. I've been seeing a lot of coral in fashion lately, and I think the soft gray is a perfect compliment. The top fabric is Buoyancy, which is a great name since it seems like an odd combo of beach balls and undersea creatures. The bottom fabric is Triflora, also an apt name for these triangular flower shapes. I love how the coral and pale peach colors are arranged, so that when you look at a larger section of the fabric the colors make a chevron shape.
Even though I've shown our selection of Loulouthi in two colorways, you really can mix and match these anyway you please. That's what I love about Anna Maria's fabrics - she comes up with colors and patterns that look awesome in any combination. Wouldn't a patchwork quilt with all of these be fabulous?! I'm thinking I might have to make one. And why not throw in some older Anna Maria fabrics too? Quilt Sandwich has tons of Anna Maria loveliness in our Designer Prints section!
Stay tuned for more awesome fabric, coming soon!
