We are super excited to be carrying Art Gallery Fabrics! (Finally!) If you haven't seen these fabrics in person, you must! They are just gorgeous, and they feel amazing too. Our Art Gallery rep tells us that AGF have a 120 thread count, which is about twice as much as your usual quilting fabric. The fabrics have a wonderful softness that makes them great for cozy quilts or extra-chic fashion items.
So far we've gotten a few pieces from four different collections. One thing they all have in common is the beautiful floral patterns, but the colors and themes are all different, so you'll definitely find something that you like. (Or maybe you'll like them all, like us!)
First, here's a pretty collection with the soft, sun-washed colors of summers at the beach: Summerlove!
I really love the main floral print, Beyond Bliss, on the groovy tangerine background! The flowers have that wild, carefree look that makes them light and pretty. The colors are all great - there's pink, aqua and white, and then a nice eggplant that keeps it from being too cutesy. For coordinates, we have these sweet little bouquets in Tokens of Love. The warm brown and aqua color scheme is always a favorite! Finally, here is Swept Away, a funky floral and stripe combination in muted colors like pink, gold, mint and eggplant.
Next is Rhapsodia!
We have this absolutely beautiful floral print, Mystic Aura, in two different colorways: Fields and Sky. It's cool to see how different the same design can look in different colors! The Fields colorway is very light and airy - the white background with pale yellow paisleys makes the bright flowers really stand out. I love the flower colors - there are some interesting muted pastels in there, like the rose pink and olive green, but the white background and fuchsia flowers in the background make it seem very colorful. In Sky, the background is this awesome turquoise with teal paisleys. The flowers are in white, fuchsia, orange and lemon yellos and really pop on the rich background. Either one is amazing, how can you decide?!
Now, for something a little different: LillyBelle by Bari J!
I love this bold color scheme combined with pretty florals and lacy designs. Garden Rocket is this totally cool floral print on a super-bright mustard yellow. The burgundy and pink flowers sweeten it up a bit but not too much. Henna Stripe is a must-have, too - you can never go wrong with gray and cream, and this one has beautiful detailed flowers with tiny polka dots or a dainty grid. This one will go with just about any floral you have! Next, French Sampler is just so cute - there are all kinds of fun little images in here, like a bird, key, clock and flowers and the turquoise and yellow colors are fun. Finally, Lilly Bouquet is a gorgeous, painterly floral in pop colors like tangerine, turquoise and tomato red on a soft cream background. LillyBelle is a wonderful collection for an eclectic, vintage-inspired quilt.
Finally, here is Indie, and as soon as we saw this collection we KNEW we had to get it!
Wowzers! Isn't it gorgeous?! I just love the rich, elegant color scheme and beautiful floral and Asian-inspired motifs. The main print is called Marqueterie in Berry. I love the checkered background in navy and berry - it is the perfect backdrop to these stylized flowers and vines with their cool outlines. Next is Tapestry - a neat dotted stripe print in salmon, navy and cream that will add a lot of texture to your sewn projects. The pretty oval dots are from Art Gallery's Oval Elements collection of tonal fabrics. This color is called Emerald Coast and it features three stunning shades of green. The next larger-scale floral is called Wonderlust and is really awesome. The flowers have a sketchy quality and the warm, spicy colors are so inviting. Finally, two Asian-inspired coordinates in exotic colors like saffron and jade. Dynasty has two mustard-yellow shades accented with celadon green and beautiful blossoms. Geisha has sweet, little flowers in mustard yellow on a vibrant jade green. This collection would make an absolutely amazing quilt, or try it for pretty placemats for a special dinner party.
Well, we hope you've enjoyed these great fabrics! We have more coming from Art Gallery and we are looking forward to it. Check out Art Gallery Fabrics at our shop here. Happy Sewing!

PS: SOMEONE registered for QuiltCon today! I will have all the news that's fit to blog (well, at least all the news I can handle.) I'm attending a bunch of awesome-sounding lectures, and I'm taking a workshop with Elizabeth Hartman! So stay tuned - come February, I'll be blogging up a storm about this event!
